TERMS & CONDITIONS

MINIMUM AGE

Members are required to be a  minimum of 16 years of age to join.

 

GYM ETIQUETTE

  1. Bring a workout towel and a water bottle to your workout
  2. Respect fellow members and share equipment when needed
  3. Dress appropriately including closed-toe footwear, especially around weights
  4. Don’t use equipment as a seat whilst using your phone, step away and give others access to that piece of equipment. You never know how long someone may be waiting to use that station.
  5. If you feel unwell, think of others and please stay home.
  6. Take care and avoid dropping weights during your workout.
  7. Return the equipment to the appropriate rack or position where it was originally stored.
  8. Unload plates from equipment after use to allow others to use the equipment if they are incapable of lifting heavy plates.
  9. Do not walk across the Group Fitness Room when a class is in progress

 

MINIMUM TERM OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP

All members are committed to fulfilling their membership at 6 Degrees South for the minimum period of Debits indicated on their contract followed by their 30-day notice period. A ‘No Contract’ Membership is also required to provide 30 Days’ notice to cancel. 

Membership is paid in advance and is continuous until the minimum term is met and then can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice to the club.

All memberships will continue until further notice and do not automatically end until a cancellation form is submitted.

Memberships are not transferrable.

 

FEES AND CHARGES

A transaction fee of 0.55c per fortnight is charged by the debit company and Credit Card payments incur an additional merchant fee of 1.2% for Visa/Mastercard and 4% for Amex.  No merchant fee is charged for a bank account debit.

 

CANCELLING YOUR MEMBERSHIP

At the time of CANCELLATION, members can give notice by completing a 6 Degrees South cancellation form IN PERSON at the Reception Desk AFTER the term of the membership. Members are required to give 30 days’ notice to end their membership AFTER the minimum no. of debits has been fulfilled. Charges will cease at the END OF the term of the final charge in the 30-day notice period. Any debits that fall within the notice period will be debited in full and the expiry date calculated as the last day of the final fortnight.

Please note that a CANCELLATION cannot be processed if the account is in arrears. Payments must be up to date for this to be actioned.

Early exit fee may be calculated and limited to $125 or less if a member chooses to exit before the end of the agreed billing term.

 

SUSPENDING YOUR MEMBERSHIP

A Suspension Fee is required to be paid for the SUSPENSION of your membership for a period of up to 3 months and for a Minimum Period of 2 weeks.

 

PAYMENT DEFAULT FEES

All members must ensure that their account has funds to make the regular fortnight payments or will incur a default fee of $6.60.

Members are responsible for the update of their bank or credit card details if they change before the next debit or incur a default fee of $6.60.

 

TAILGATING

We ask that you please take care when scanning into the club in order to prevent unknown persons from entering the gym. The person behind you must also scan in so that you are not seen to be responsible for letting them in.

All persons entering the premises must be accounted for and this is to ensure the safety of our members as well as the safety of the unknown person entering the gym.

$50 fines are in place for those who repeatedly invite visitors without permission, we hope you can take care to avoid being flagged.
